We have been
making high quality wooden toys on our small croft since 1998.
We are committed
to making toys that inspire a child's imagination and stand up
to years of hard play.
Davy makes the toys in the workshop he constructed
himself
using local stone and traditional building methods. The toys
are brought over to the house where Susan paints them in the sitting
room.
Our
daughter Freya was the official toy tester but has graduated
to "consultant"!
Speiliks, which means wood shavings in the Shetland dialect, could
be described as an old style cottage industry with a sprinkling
of 21st century technology.
